Wednesday, Jan. 20, marked the 10th anniversary of "High School Musical." It was celebrated by the cast reuniting on screen to reminisce about the series that launched their careers. However, Zac Efron was nowhere to be seen during the said reunion.

Efron, who played the infamous Troy Bolton character in the hit four-part series, is missing-in-action during the "High School Musical" reunion, and fans and media alike were speculating that ex-girlfriend and co-star Vanessa Hudgens has something to do with it.

"Vanessa and Zac are on bad terms and they don't want to see each other," a source purportedly revealed to HollywoodLife.com. "Things would be awkward and there would be a lot of issues that would come up and they wouldn't feel comfortable faking it in front of cameras. They had a horrible breakup and she really doesn't want to hear his name let alone be in the same room with him. To say she was relieved he wasn't there is an understatement. She probably wouldn't have done it had he confirmed showing up for it."

Meanwhile, in a separate report by Celebuzz, Zac Efron reportedly said that he is not avoiding Hudgens and his absence from the "High School Musical" reunion was just a case of conflicting work schedules.

Efron is currently promoting his new movie "Dirty Grandpa" with Robert de Niro and had also recently appeared in several shows, including "Ellen" to promote it. It may be really just a case of bad timing, but people were not buying it.

Since Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens met at the set of "High School Musical" in 2005 they have started dating and have been together even after the last part of the series was released. But things had turned sour soon after and the two never remained friends.

Hudgens has since moved on and is now with "The Shannara Chronicles" star Austin Butler, according to IBT. Efron on the other hand is reportedly too smitten with Sami Miro and has confirmed that they have been together for over a year now.

Well it looks like fans of "High School Musical" and of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens' love team will never see any reunion from the two as they are both reportedly happy apart and with their current relationships.
