Following the success of 'Creed,' much is said about Sylvester Stallone, who plays Barney Ross, dropping 'Expendables 4' to focus on a sequel for 'Creed;' and now it is reported that Hulk Hogan will be filling in for Stallone while Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson will be the main antagonist.
Sylvester Stallone has won a Golden Globes for his role in "Creed" and is now nominated for Oscar's, which made Terry Crews think that Stallone may hand off "Expendables 4" as he takes new opportunities as a result of his success in "Creed."
"I have to say, with Sly, I think it looks like he's going to get an Oscar," Terry Crews said (via SlashFilm). "It's a matter of whether he'll be in it ["Expendables 4"]. If he got the Golden Globe, he got the Oscar, there's a lot more things that are going to be offered to him, but if Sly is in it, I'm in."
Terry Crews added that Stallone is already like his "dad" in the industry and whatever Stallone's saying, he's also doing. In other words, Crews will not be in "Expendables 4" if Stallone isn't, as well.
"I'm just thinking he's got options now," Crews said further. "As well as he should. He should think about what his next move is going to be, what he's going to do. 'Creed' was amazing. It showed his depth and he's a lot deeper than people always give him credit for.
Parent Herald, in its report, said that WWE superstar Hulk Hogan, who earlier was reported to be playing the main antagonist of "Expendables 4," is now slated to take on the role of Barney Ross. The Rock, on the other hand, will become the film's villain, to which he earlier expressed he really wanted to take on.
"I don't want to be on their team and be buddies with them," The Rock previously said. "I want to hunt every single one of them down and tell them to 'send your soul to heaven 'cause your ass is mine.'"
