Linsanity was present once again during a recent Charlotte Hornets NBA game as Jeremy Lin faced his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers, on the hardcourt.

As seen on ESPN, the Hornets beat the Lakers in a home game, 101-82.

Despite the Harvard University graduate's injury, he was on fire during the game against his former teammates. According to USA Today, Lin managed to get six points, five assists and five rebounds.

It can be remembered that before Jeremy Lin signed a deal with the Charlotte Hornets, he played for the Lakers but it didn't last long.

As told by Hoops Habit last May, the point guard wasn't able to apparently unleash Linsanity because he was often made to sit out games. There were reports as well that he often clashed with Coach Byron Scott.

Lin's former teammate Kobe Bryant, who is on his final season in the NBA, showed an impressive streak as well getting 23 points during his play. But his score was not enough to beat the Hornets. Bryant though was not giving up just yet.

"The Navy Seals have a way of taking guys to the bottom of the pool," he said as cited by Bleacher Report. "Sometimes you've got to go to the bottom of the pool, man, and figure it out. We're almost there. Gasping for air."

"What, it makes a season less (expletive)?" he also said as quoted by the Los Angeles Daily News.

Jeremy Lin was not the highest scorer during their latest Charlotte Hornets NBA game versus the Lakers but his efforts to bring back Linsanity seemed to have been noticed by analysts.

It was mentioned on Sportsrageous that the California-born ball player was in the running to become NBA's Sixth Man. Other candidates fighting him for the title were Orlando Magic's Victor Oladipo, New Orleans Pelicans Ryan Andersen, Denver Nuggets Will Barton and Oklahoma City Thunder's Enes Kanter.
