The relationship of Rihanna and Chris Brown became controversial because of the beating up incident, which left the 27-year-old singer black and blue. The 26-year-old musician attacked his girlfriend in 2009, but she still gave him a second chance. However, the two had split up for good in 2013.

It's been almost seven years since the brutal attack happened and Rihanna's dad Ronald Fenty admitted that he has already forgiven Chris Brown.

During an interview with Mirror, the father of the Barbadian beauty opened revealed his current relationship with the "Loyal" hitmaker.

"Chris will always have a place in our family and my heart," Ronald Fenty said. "He respects me, calls me pops and I like him - despite what happened. He's very talented and always humble. I'd support them being together."

Rihanna's dad may have already forgiven Chris Brown for beating up his daughter, but he revealed that he almost took revenge on the R&B singer. Ronald Fenty claimed that a biker gang headed by the songstress' old security guards wanted to get back at the "Ayo" hitmaker, but he told them that he wanted to do it himself.

"I told them to give me a few days because I felt like doing it myself, you know?" he said. "I was going to fly in, get picked up from LAX and ride to Chris' place so I could do it myself. When I called him the next day to arrange everything I cooled down and put a stop to it. She doesn't know about this, she was going through enough."

Chris Brown was lucky that Rihanna and his father Ronald Fenty are both understanding and forgiving. During an interview with Vanity Fair, the "Diamonds" hitmaker admitted that she still cares for her ex-boyfriend.

"I don't hate him," Rihanna confessed referring to Chris Brown. "I will care about him until the day I die. We're not friends, but it's not like we're enemies. We don't have much of a relationship now."
