Gerard Butler is officially back in the market after the actor has and his interior designer girlfriend, Morgan Brown, have called it quits.
Life & Style magazine, in its report, said that Gerard Butler and Morgan Brown had split "when things started to get too serious for the 46-year-old Scot.
Gerard Butler has always been known to have resigned himself to single life, dating one hottie to another. Last year, when he was reported to be dating Morgan Brown, everyone thought the Scottish actor is finally ready to commit and settle down.
In an issue of OK! Magazine last year, a source told the publication, "Gerard loves the chase and usually gets bored quickly, but Morgan is different."
"He realizes that sharing his life, not just his bed, is what's important," the source added. "For once, he can see himself committing."
Life & Style magazine, however, recently said that Gerard got cold feet and realized he's not ready to make things serious.
"Gerard broke things off with her. Gerard really thought this was it," the source added. "He just started dragging his feet about proposing, and then he just got a major case of cold feet."
Meanwhile, in a related news, US Magazine reported that British singer Rita Ora may have been the cause of Gerard Butler and Morgan Brown's split.
According to the report, Rita Ora and Gerard Butler hooked up at a West Hollywood hotel last month, where they were spotted having an intimate dinner at a four-star hotel's in-house restaurant.
"They drank wine and she hugged him when he returned to the table from a break," the source told US Magazine. "Gerard paid the bill."
On the other hand, E! Online said that the relationship between Ora and Butler is "completely platonic."
"They are just friends and there is nothing romantic going on," a source said. "They have known each other for a while. They had dinner and nothing more."
