Susan Boyle, 53, who had a shot of fame with an astonishing rendition of I Dream A Dream on Britain's Got Talent in 2009, admits she has her first boyfriend at age 53. She was also diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome in 2012. It was never too late for love after all.

In an interview with The Sun, Boyle admits that she has met her new boyfriend during her recent six-week promotional tout in the Unites States. This was for her sixth album Hope. In a luxury hotel in Florida, she met a doctor who hails from Connecticut. She pertains to her boyfriend as the 'perfect gentleman'.

According to Boyle, "It's early days but we enjoy each other's company. We just got talking in the hotel and I thought he seemed friendly enough. He wasn't a fan but he knew who I was. He invited me out for lunch the next day; we had a nice chat and spoke about lots of things including our careers."

She added, "He was the perfect gentleman and even paid the bill.  Afterwards we exchanged details. When we said goodbye he gave me a peck on the cheek." She hopes that their relationship would flourish into something more serious. She says she wants the two to continue a long-distance relationship.

Boyle was diagnoses with Asperger's Syndrome in 2012 and revealed it by December 2013. Asperger's syndrome is a type of Autism Spectrum Disorder characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction and nonverbal communication, alongside restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests. She was relieved about her condition because many individuals brand her as 'brain damaged' ever since she was little.
