Heads up, game players! As Sony just announced that, for this weekend, all of PS Plus' multiplayer functionality will be free of charge, yes? Yes!
Apparently, Sony isn't done yet unleashing phenomenal incentives with its recent announcement that beginning Friday, Jan. 19 until Jan. 21, game players will be able to access the online multiplayer modes in any PlayStation 4 game without any PS plus subscription.
"Free online multiplayer access begins Friday, February 19th, at 12:01 AM Pacific and runs to Sunday, February 21st, at 11:59 PM Pacific. Hop on to PSN during the free weekend with your favorite multiplayer game - no membership commitment is required during this period," written by Andy Lum of Sony Computer Entertainment America in PlayStation Blog.
Needless to say, most gamers' principle purposed behind obtaining PS plus subscription is the multiplayer mode, as they can't stand with the thought of being able to play with or against friends. Not to mention that there are such a variety of games being founded on "player versus player" interaction nowadays.
Tech Times, in its report, noted that Sony's free weekend games are concentrating on two major titles - the "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" considering that a new downloadable content (DLC) pack, Awakening, just launched on PS4.
What's more, Capcom's latest chapter of the legendary fighting franchise, "Street Fighter V," recently debuted last Tuesday on a console exclusive on PS4. Excited?
"Of course, there are plenty of other options out there: "Grand Theft Auto Online" is always fun, and a free weekend is a perfect time to try out a co-op session in Bloodborne," the report revealed.
Given that there's nothing to download and Sony isn't making anyone sign up for a free trial, it seems that vast majority of the gamers will definitely have an incredible taste of their weekend with such incredible free games title. Enjoy!
