Grace Lee was confined at Liverpool's Alder Hey Children's Hospital and was  subjected to a number of operations that covered multiple open heart surgeries. Now that the 9 year old has recovered, Grace rendered a heart-warming song to thank everyone who took care of her.

The Liverpool Echo reports that Grace sang a heavenly interpretation of Bill Wither's hit "Lean On Me", backed by a choir made up of nearly eight hundred Alder Hey and Shop Direct employees.  The number stunned many bystanders who gathered at the Liverpool City Center with her excellent performance.

Grace's performance was a part of the fundraising event. Her performance, however, is primarily her way to give thanks to the hospital's workforce for their dedication in saving her life.

Many people watched as Grace sang the inspirational song and collectors took charity donations from the audience. Liverpool City Centre came to a complete cessation of activity as the crowd joined in with the singing while clapping their hands. Many were moved and are amazed by the performance.

Kara Lee, Grace's mom, explained in the video caption that that her daughter was born with complex congenital heart disease and lung disease.

"Here she is doing what she loves most - singing. Grace performed this song only days after hearing it for the first time!" writes in the caption of her proud mother.

The Grace says "she was happy to lend her angelic voice to repay to the hospital's goodness and dedication."

Kara says that they mainly owe Grace's life to  Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Furthermore, she says that Grace had been singing even when her conditions made it hard for her to sing.

According to the NHS, 9 in every 1000 babies born in the UK are affected by congenital heart disease. This prevalence is linked to maternal episodes of rubella and uncontrolled type 1 and 2 diabetes during pregnancy.
