Disney has finally announced that "Frozen 2" is, indeed, happening and the sequel to the hit animated film is already being developed.
And while there are still no details yet to the plot of "Frozen 2," fans continue to talk about the possibilities for the highly-anticipated sequel.
In its report, The Inquisitr highlighted a widely circulated theory around the Web today about Anna and Elsa not being "actual" sisters. In other words, Anna and Elsa are not biological sisters. This theory was first picked up from The Film Theorist, who said that all stories from Disney happen in one, shared universe, just like in Marvel and DC Comics.
This "shared universe," therefore, also applies to "Frozen" and according to The Film Theorist, a split second in the first film showed Rapunzel during the time Elsa announced that Arendelle opens its doors to the public.
Previous rumors suggest that when the Queen and the King, the parents of Anna and Elsa, went out to sail and were caught up in a storm, they were actually on their way to Rapunzel's wedding. This, accordingly, connects "Tangled" and "Frozen."
The Film Theorist, furthermore, cites that Anna and Elsa are not biological sisters and highlighted one family picture shown in "Frozen," where the two clearly looked different.
And going even further, the theory states that Elsa and Rapunzel are twins! And there are proofs to support this theory, the most convincing of which is a biological explanation.
"Since the only relatable connection of Elsa in the 'Frozen' family is her blue eyes, the biology of eye color blue and green eyes are the recessive alleles," The Inquisitr wrote. "That means, for a child to have blue eyes, he or she must have two blue-eyed parents. In Elsa's case, the supposed father had a green eye. That means, there is a 50 percent chance for King Agnarr and Queen Iduna to have a blue-eyed baby. Still, this is the case for Rapunzel's parents."
"At the very least, this means that genetically, they have the same probability as the 'Frozen' royal couple of ending up with a blue-eyed baby like Elsa," the report added. It also mentioned that Elsa and Rapunzel are both left-handed and according to statistics, 22 percent of twins are left-handed.
