A little girl called 911 as her mother and sisters were being beaten up by her drunk stepfather. The video became phenomenal and is even used as a documentary video for people to know more about domestic violence. Everything in the video is horrifying to listen to and pain are in her words.

Lisa Floyd, the little girl who called 911, begged the dispatcher to send the police because her stepfather is beating her mother. After the audio was recorded, they had no news about Lis and her family. Not until years later, Kit Gruelle, an advocate for domestic abuse survivors wondered what happened to the little girl and tracked her down.

She found Lisa. However, Lisa is also in an abusive relationship. Yet with Kit's help, she got out of the relationship and became an advocate of domestic violence too. She learned about the tape and how its impact affected many people. She had no idea that the tape was used to educate people about the effects of domestic violence on children.

In the blog of Children of Domestic Violence, Lisa had the chance to share her story. She shared, "I'm Lisa, a survivor with a future, because of my past. I started to believe I wasn't worthy. I felt like a failure, destined for nothingness. I didn't believe I could change my life or my situation."

She moved into a relationship just to feel something but the relationship itself became abusive. For years, she hid in the shadows and put up with it. However, she was able to break away.

The video can be viewed in the link below. It involved the implications of being in a violent home especially for children. The little girl is alive and is now safe and happy with her life. Now, her video can be heard in headsets and applications. Also, the this move is now called The Lisa Project.
