According to the latest Apple rumors circulating online, the tech giant just might be skipping the S phase next year to make room for the iPhone 7 release. Apple fans, or those who are ready to make the switch, can also expect three models to released in 2015, including a 4-inch smartphone to replace the iPhone 5c.
The iPhone 7 will reportedly include a expanded RAM and memory, a more powerful processor, sapphire display, wireless charging and a better camera. IB Times claims that the new smartphone would have 2GB of RAM (which is double its predecessor, iPhone 6), 256GB of storage and an A9 processor.
Users who delve into photography will also be excited with the upgraded camera featuring a 14MP main snapper and 4MP front.
The iPhone7 was also speculate to carry a screen that can display 3D images without the need for glasses.
AppleInsider also recently revealed that Apple might be introducing three new versions of the iPhone in 2015 to satisfy all customers.
Analyst Timothy Arcuri speculates that Apple was working on a new 4-inch iPhone model called "iPhone 6s mini". They may have a growing demand for users who preferred larger smartphones but there was still a considerable market for those who wanted to be able to hold a phone single handedly.
The new device specifications was believed to be similar to 2013's iPhone 5s, but its design was closer to curved edges of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
The introduction of iPhone 6s mini would replace the iPhone 5c which currently occupies the low end of Apple's smartphone lineup. The new device would however use a purpose-built low cost components" from Qualcomm in order to keep the price of the device low as possible.
This is not the first time that rumors about a 4-inch iPhone has circulated online. Earlier this month, a Chinese publication also claimed that Apple intended to release a 4-inch smartphone to replace iPhone 5S.
