Online Yoga May Be Helpful For Introverts

Unlike extroverts, introverts tend to lean towards the quiet and the un-crowded. Psychologists have long concluded that most introverts crave a sense of solitude. In yoga, although peace, calm, and quiet are practiced, the very experience of going to a jam-packed class and having to do poses in the middle of a crowded room may be daunting for some introverts.

Thankfully, there are other options for introverts who may shy away from large classes- smaller, close-knit classes, one-on-one sessions, and online yoga. According to Yoga.org.nz, practicing yoga by yourself or with a group both encourage a deeply personal practice. After all, yoga is "about your relationship with yourself".

Yoga with Adriene

Yoga instructor Adriene Mishler has been commended for her superb teaching style and good cuing. Her yoga sessions are friendly for all levels, from beginners to the more advanced. The Austin, Texas-based yoga teacher provides everything from the foundations of yoga to one hour-long sessions. Above all, Adriene advocates self-love and "finding what feels good". Eckhart Yoga Channel

Experienced in Hatha and Vinsaya  yoga, Esther Ekhart has both short sessions and 90 minute-yoga classes. New videos are published in her channel every Monday and Thursday. Although her specialties are mostly Hatha and Vinsaya yoga, Esther also has sessions for Yin yoga, Ashtanga yoga, and Anusara yoga. Longer yoga classes are shared in her website at ekhartyoga.com .

DoYouYoga.com

DoYouYoga.com is an online community of yoga practitioners. New videos are added on a weekly basis, and are composed of different teachers with diverse styles that can fit different types of yoga practitioners. DoYouYoga.com also features blogs from various yogis and instructors, as well as regular posts that are helpful for anyone interested in learning or sustaining the practice.
