Eager to know what's latest for "The Incredibles 2"? Here are some of the latest developments for the much anticipated animated film!

Arguably one of the most successful Pixar movies of the 2000s, "The Incredibles" is confirmed to have a sequel. This was announced during the Disney Investor's Meeting last March 2014 by Disney President Bob Iger. It was also announced that Brad Bird will return as the director and writer for the Oscar winning film.

The director said during the 2007 WonderCon that Pixar was initially not planning to build a sequel for this mega-hit.

According to Slashfilm:

"Pixar does not look at sequels as a financial plan. We feel we have a relationship with the audience and that they believe in each movie we put out. We believe completely in every movie we put out."

"If I can come up with a story that is as good or better than that first film, then I'd love to return to that world, but it would have to be story first."

Talking about interesting plot twists, multiple fan theories are surfacing as to who will be the next villain. Movie Pilot made a list of potential antagonists and a descendant of Gazerbeam is the likeliest candidate pointed out in the article.

The article went on to narrate how this family member will be avenging the death of Gazerbeam. As seen in the first film, Mr. Incredible was able to know about his story in a newspaper while he is thinking of working for Mirage/Syndrome.

The article was able to decipher what was written in the newspaper and here's what was written:

"Simon J. Paladino, a longtime outspoken advocate of Superhero rights, is missing. According to the local authorities, Paladino was last seen outside his apartment on Traction Avenue ten days ago, and while they have no direct evidence that would lead them to suspect foul play, Paladino's past advocacy of Superhero rights which led some to believe that he had actually been a superhero would make him a likely target. The Mayor says that "the police are investigating all avenues." At this point in the investigation it seems highly unlikely that the police will have any clues anytime soon. The local, national forces are taking action as well."
