Dawn has been in the dance business for 43 years and has learned the keys to success. She is a dancing dynamo, not just a dance enthusiast. Dawn has experienced it all, from learning from the best teachers and choreographers in the business to winning regional, state, and national titles. She traversed the east coast as a child, captivating audiences everywhere she went in glitzy costumes and upbeat performances. We imagine that her rivals were left perplexed by how she managed to dominate the dance floor with such grace and elegance.
The voyage of Dawn, however, doesn't finish with her achievements and titles. Oh no, this is just the start! As she became older, her love of dance evolved into a desire to impart it on others. Dawn made her first moves in the direction of becoming a dance mentor while being mentored by the legendary Carol Colson. She started the Coastal Performing Arts Academy after acquiring teaching credentials and a wide range of dance curricula.
Dawn's studio initially only had five eager pupils, but it quickly expanded. And it did grow! She now proudly owns a flourishing dance academy in the Coastal Empire that hundreds of pupils now consider their second home. But despite her great successes, Dawn is still as modest as ever. She continues to juggle her dance career with being a wife and mother of three, proving that multitasking is possible for even dance dynamos.
Every spin and tap reflects Dawn's love of teaching. Children can now learn to dance while also finding their inner strength and self-confidence thanks to her contagious passion.
