Harmonix has revealed the tracks for "Rock Band 4" song list.

The first six songs for the upcoming music video game are "Hail to the King" by Avenged Sevenfold, "You Make Loving Fun" by Fleetwood Mac, "Lazaretto" by Jack White, "Somebody Told Me" by The Killers, "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" by Spin Doctors and "The Seeker" by The Who.

Harmonix's Chief Creative Officer and co-founder, Alex Rigopulos, has revealed that the "Rock Band 4" song list is "top-tier." The game will have backwards compatibility which means that old guitars and drums from previous titles can be used in the upcoming music video game.

"The budget that we've allocated for the title supports a top-tier soundtrack," the Harmonix Chief Creative Officer told IGN, saying that the selection strategy for the "Rock Band 4" song list is "one aspect of the experience that we're not aiming to change."

Rigopulos also confirmed that they are planning a steady, ongoing series of DLC releases after the release of the core title, although no details have been revealed by the co-founder of Harmonix.

Furthermore, he admitted that the "Rock Band 4" song list will allow players to have their personal expression on the tracks. They want to give people a sense of ownership, their own moment, for the songs instead of merely an execution of the performance.

The "Rock Band 4" song list may be better than "Guitar Hero Live." Activision's upcoming music video game boasts of songs from The Black Keys, Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy, Green Day, The Lumineers, My Chemical Romance, The Rolling Stones, Rage Against the Machine and System of a Down, among others.

Since Harmonix allows songs from the previous titles to be exported to "Rock Band 4," this means that players can enjoy more tracks for the game. The release date for Harmonix's music video game may be announced during E3 2015.
