‘Boruto: Naruto The Movie’ Trailer Revealed; Film’s Voice Cast Confirmed?

The "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" trailer has been revealed.

Anime News Network reported that Australian distributor Madman Entertainment streamed the full "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" trailer with English subtitles last week. Reel Anime, a program of the company, will bring the film to Australian theaters this year.

"Boruto is the son of the seventh Hokage Naruto who completely rejects his father," the film's story stated. "Behind this, he has feelings of wanting to surpass Naruto, who is respected as a hero. He ends up meeting his father's friend Sasuke, and requests to become... his apprentice!? The curtain rises on the story of the new generation written by Masashi Kishimoto!"

Yuko Sanpei will be portraying Boruto Uzumaki while Kokoro Kikuchi will play Sarada Uchiha. Junko Takeuchi and Noriaki Sugiyama will be reprising their roles as Naruto and Sasuke, respectively. Ryūichi Kijima plays Mitsuki, the mysterious character in "Boruto: Naruto the Movie." He is speculated to be the next Orochimaru.

Atsushi Abe will play Inojin Yamanaka, Sai and Ino's son. Saori Hayami will play Himawari Uzumaki, the daughter of Naruto and Hinata. Hiroki Yasumoto will portray Kinshiki, the faithful subordinate of the mysterious Momoshiki, who will be played by Daisuke Namikawa. Kensho Ono will voice Shikadai Nara, Shikamaru Nara and Temari's son.

Series creator Masashi Kishimoto will be involved in the film's production. "Boruto" will be the first movie of the popular franchise which is handled only by Kishimoto. He is credited as the director, script writer and character designer.

"Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will be shown in Japanese theaters on Aug. 7 but fans can buy tickets as early as Jun. 27. Those who will watch the movie about Naruto and Hinata's son throughout Japan in August will receive a "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" manga. It is a brand-new one-shot novel by original manga creator Masashi Kishimoto.
